Everything feels strange. The television seems loud and barking; jarring. My children sleeping a whole two rooms away – so far. The humidity has returned my hair instantly to its normal rats’ nest frizz. Readily accessible high-speed Internet feels foreign and somewhat too immediate; almost intrusive. We wake up in the same place every morning. The scenery doesn’t change. Navigating daily life and interactions seems foreign and awkward. I miss being on the road! Crazy, right? Who would miss being crammed into a tight space with three kids and two dogs?
But we’re learning how to have adventures in our daily life at home. Chattanooga is so full of opportunities for adventure, especially the outdoor kind. Kayaking and biking and hiking are all within a few minutes of our home. And now that we’ve had a couple of weeks to rest and re-adjust to life, we’re ready to tackle those things head on. Let the adventures continue!
P.S. I may or may not have started planning our next summer’s adventure….stay tuned. #RVlife
